The Bible-Based Dictionary of Prophetic Symbols – Bridging the Gap between Revelation and Application – By Dr. Joe Ibojie – A Book Review

Reviewed By Richard R. Blake

Meticulous Research, Brilliant Presentation, Diligent Editing Inspiring Dedication

“The Bible-Based Dictionary of Prophetic Symbols” is much more than an ordinary dictionary; it is a masterwork, the most comprehensive work of its kind. An important feature of this revised and expanded edition is the inclusion of an augmented version of the Dictionary of Dream Symbols.

The format is well designed; a combination of practical advice and ministry experience. The book is divided into four parts:

  • An Illustrated Bible-Based Dictionary of Prophetic Symbols and Symbolic Actions
  • Gleaning from Bible Symbolism
  • Common Bible and Prophetic Terms
  • Other Symbolic Overtones.

Dr. Ibojie’s work is based on the premise that God speaks to man today but not all in the same way. He speaks through dreams and visions, in a clear language, or in parables.

“The Bible-Based Dictionary of Prophetic Symbols” is an exhaustive collection of Biblical and prophetic terms in one authoritative volume.  The meticulous research, brilliant presentation, and the inspiring dedication of the author combine to make this a tremendously significant authoritative study tool.

I plan to keep my copy readily available in my library for ready-reference.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.
