Sozo: Tools for Finding, Truth, Freedom, Inner Healing and Deliverance

The Greek word Sozo is translated as: Saved – healed – delivered. A fuller meaning includes the model of being made whole. In their  book “SOZO: A Journey into Freedom with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”, coleaders of the International Bethel  Sozo Ministry, Dawna De Silva and Teresa Liebscher provide practical core tools and techniques that lead to a deeper relationship with God; strategies for living abundantly, and keys to experiencing inner healing and deliverance.

Each chapter is filled with examples and case histories of hurting people who have found hope; who are rising above and going beyond the trauma of growing up in a dysfunctional family, an abusive childhood, or broken relationships.  Readers will be enlightened by seeing their self-worth through God’s eyes; He created you for His unique purpose, and divine destiny.

Dawna and Teresa provide interactive models of Sozo ministry sessions, probing discussion questions and activation exercises for Sozo clients and Sozo ministers in training. These illustrate the tools and techniques to prepare the reader to better experience freedom in every area of life, and to understand the process of training, mentoring, and ministering. A valuable glossary serves as an important aid to clarifying often misunderstood terms used in the area of spiritual warfare and deliverance ministries.

“SOZO: A Journey into Freedom with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” is highly endorsed by well-known International Christian leaders in Biblical healing ministry as a clear model for finding freedom, fullness, and spiritual liberation. The book is informative, encouraging, with important guidelines, insight, and inspiration  for anyone desirous of living a life of spiritual abundance.

Rediscover the 8th Mountain –  Wisdom from the Ancients

In the 1960’s Christians across America were singing the song “In Times like These You Need the Savior” written by Ruth Caye Jones. Now, sixty years later in their book “The Forgotten Mountain – The Place of Peace in a Time of Confusion” Don Nori Sr. and Ambassador Clyde Rivers are offering hope to another generation on a quest for peace in a time of confusion.

he end of chapter one I knew I was on the edge of a threshold, transcending man’s earthly contemporized perception, moving into the pronunciation of the wisdom of the ancients, those Old Testament prophets, who received their “wisdom from above,” who spoke of current events as far back as ancient Egypt, and of things to come in the last times. I knew I was moving into the realm of new vistas of prophetic insight and understanding into the truth of Scriptures often overlooked, that change the heart.

Much of the inspiration for the material, within the chapters, of this book come from the writings in the “Classic Wisdom on the Kingdom” by Dr. Myles Monroe,” included in the closing pages of this book.  Another important feature is the “Glossary of Terms That Change the Conversation.”

Dr. Nori and Ambassador Rivers write of the role of ambassadors. kings, and priests, and of inner and outer governance, of changing conversation. They bring a message of hope, divine love, inner fulfillment, personal destiny, and a yielded heart.

A Prophetic Message an Unprecedented Great Awakening in the Church

In his book “Angel Armies – Releasing the Warriors of Heaven” Dr. Tim Sheets delivers a powerful apostolic message at a time when many theologians are prone to “explain away the supernatural realm.” Dr. Sheets tells of a recurring prophetic vision, a revelation of a Holy Spirit movement of supernatural power coming like a vortex of revival fire.  He describes a Third Great Awakening, unprecedented, ablaze with the burning power of Christ’s presence in the greatest revival the world has ever seen.

Dr. Sheets writes from a biblical viewpoint, revealing amazing insight and understanding into the nature and ministries of angelic forces. Dr. Sheet’s has been diligent in prayer and study in preparation of this powerful in depth, life altering revelation.

Step by step Dr. Sheets explains from the scriptures how angels minister to us as heirs of salvation, how they assist us in fulfilling our destiny, and as ministering spirits in natural and spiritual realms. He includes instruction on King David’s understanding of angels, and on the intrinsic nature of angels. I received a new understanding into the role of angels and their ministry in the lives of the apostles Peter and Paul, in the life of Jesus, and from Old Testament examples of Gideon, Joshua, and Daniel.

Highly respected National and International Charismatic and Evangelical leaders enthusiastically endorse the prophetic message of Dr. Tim Sheets and are partnering with him in bringing transformation and deliverance to regions throughout the world. “Angel Armies – Releasing the Warriors of Heaven” is must readers for Christians today and for the next generation.

Within the first page of David Diga Hernandez’s book “Carriers of Glory – Becoming a Friend of the Holy Spirit” I knew I was about to receive a unique message from God through His Holy Spirit, a message that would leave “a major mark on the timeline of my personal and spiritual growth.”

I found myself immersed in the desire to know and experience more of the Holy Spirit’s transforming power for consistently living a life of holiness. I gained new insights into the importance of humility in the realm of prayer when threatened by spiritual warfare. Hernandez carefully details the work of the Holy Spirit in the body life of the church, the source, oneness of the Godhead, the categories and nature of the spiritual gifts, and the Spirit’s prompting and guidance ministry to the believer.  He goes on to develop the concept of being intentional in cultivating a growing relational friendship with the Spirit. In their book “Created with Purpose” Johannah Clark Leach and Victoria West Henady share their stories that are testimonies to the grace of God in their lives. The authors write with transparency identifying personal vulnerabilities experienced in their youth. They pass along the lessons they learned by breaking a pattern of destructive choices and of being healed of brokenness.

The book is divided into two parts. Part One looks at the personal journey of discovering and becoming “yourself.” These chapters can become a tool for the reader to find encouragement, comfort, and hope, especially for anyone facing difficulty in discovering their identity in Christ.

Part Two helps the reader in areas of living with grace, sharing your story, fulfilling your destiny, and unlocking your dreams. I received new insights into the stewardship of the mind, taking control of our thoughts, communicating effectively, and the importance of a positive attitude. I also liked their approach to guiding the reader by providing practical specific steps to hone in on activation in their walk of faith that ignites faith in others.

Johannah Clark Leach founded Dance Revelation. Victoria West Henady has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and works with Johanna’s father, Dr. Randy Clark, in the organization Global Awakening and in the dance studio with Johannah. Holy Spirit Inspired Revelation – True Biblical Reformation

In the book “Snakes in the Temple – Unmasking Idolatry in Today’s Church,” visionary and prophetic teacher David Orton challenges his readers to consider the possibilities of reformation, revival, and worldwide spiritual awakening if the Christian Church of today were to restore its Biblical foundations, and to join the next generation in a commitment to see this come to fruition.

The book is organized into three sections. Chapters one through three explore the dream of future revival, while envisioning a spiritual awakening. Section two describes the present realities and a diagnosis of the idolatry found in the church of today. Section three outlines the steps needed for a spiritual breakthrough and a restoration of the glory of the Lord in the church of tomorrow.

Orton draws from spirit breathed scriptures to develop a thorough history of earlier revival in the church, which came about through restoration of worship, harvest, and awakening. He is genuine in his evaluation and in his analysis of the present status and decline of the church.

His conclusions, proposals, call to Holiness, and his prescription for renewal are well thought out, however, they may seem radical to some. Whether Charismatic, Evangelical, or Missional in theological stand, every reader will find practical principles for Christian living, spiritual growth, restoration of Biblical truth, and  revival in the Church.

An Athlete on the Gridiron, and a Gladiator in Facing Spiritual Trials

“Hand on the Line – Challenging Men to Follow God’s Call” is Steve Wisniewski’s personal testimony of pursuing God with reckless abandon.

The book is packed with powerful analogies comparing the disciplines required for success in sports arena with those comparable spiritual disciplines and the cost of discipleship after becoming a follower of Jesus. He also discusses the similarity of camaraderie and the sense of community among team members and the common sense of brotherhood, unity, and shared devotion among Christian brothers who experience a mutual faith in Christ.

I especially like the “Chalk Talks” feature at the end of each chapter in which Steve asks the reader to consider “pointed questions” regarding handling routine matters like stress, disappointment, or failures. These questions follow the progression of Steve’s own faith journey with more probing questions of trust, commitment, finding God’s will, and an honest appraisal of personal  spiritual progress, counting the cost of obedience, and investing your life in God’s service. These questions become an excellent resource tool and can easily be adapted for mentoring, discipleship building, or for men’s Bible study groups.

Wisniewski is an advocate for a strong emphasis on the mission of evangelism as evidenced with a bold natural “overflowing” witness. The book is well written, deeply spiritual packed with stories and truths and insight into “football and faith” with practical personal life applications for men of every age and faith. Steve is open, genuine, sincere, and exemplary in his Christian walk.

“Hand on the Line – Challenging Men to Follow God’s Call” is a book I plan to recommend to my sons, my brothers, and my friends. It is a powerful testimony of finding and following God’s destiny, unique purpose, and life calling.
